Kais Qusous

Kais is an executive in the telecommunication industry with 25+ years of global experience derived from senior technical and business roles handled with leading and international telecom corporations such as Rogers communications, Orange Group / France Telecom, Zain Group, Orascom Group and Philips Telekommunikations Industrie AG. Kais is multilingual and fluent in English, German and Arabic.

Kais has been involved in several start-up teams and set up mobile operators in the Middle East. He initiated and led several high impact programs and multiyear transformations that helped optimize the cost, fostered competitive positioning and addressed market and technology dynamics.
Kais had developed 5 years mobile and fixed broadband and Technology road map for Orange Group in Jordan as well as the International Wholesale and Carriers Strategy serving all Zain 24 subsidiaries in Africa and Middle East that led to 70% cost saving annually.
Among his recent accomplishments, Kais conceptualized and initiated 50MWh solar farms project which made Orange Jordan the 1st GREEN Telecom Operator depending 100% on renewable resources and realized more than 60% of annual cost savings on the energy cost.
Kais is a structured and big picture driven executive who can navigate through ambiguity. With his extensive global exposure and proven technical and business acumen Kais is capable not only to identify but also to deploy synergies and consolidations end-to-end that can that can further enhance operation efficiency and foster revenues. Beside his contribution in Tirna Partners, Kais is supporting a number of multinational companies as an advisor to the board in the global business development and outreach.

Mike Campbell is a proactive and creative Product Management/Technology Leader who uses his broad range of technical and business knowledge to introduce and improve products and services and positively impact bottom-line profitability for his clients.

Mike has over 30 years experience in Telecommunications and Operational Support Systems and has worked on embedded systems, communications testing, large transactional database systems, as well as on Linux, and MAC OSX. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
Over his extensive career, Mike has held progressively senior positions in Product Development, Product Technology and Product Management organizations, including 10 years of senior and general management in OSS systems including EMS, NMS and Service Assurance applications, most recently with Sigma Systems and Nortel.
Mike has also delivered extensive consulting on Web app development, New Product Requirements and Introduction, medical technology devices and product management for Network Equipment Vendors.
Mike is a Professional Engineer, licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario for over 25 years and currently is a member of the IEEE and ACM. He has patents issued in the area of DSL Compatibility Testing and OSS design.
In his admittedly tight spare time, Mike is a part-time freelance photographer, home renovator, and an avid expedition canoeist. He also occasionally builds Linux Terabyte servers.
Simon Harding

Simon has over 20 years’ experience in providing strategic, corporate finance, and commercial advice to clients across a wide range of industries. This includes: development of future strategy (both business unit and corporate), market entry strategy, commercial due diligence (incorporating merger benefit assessments, and market & competitive assessments), business plan formulation and assessment, as well as undertaking strategic options reviews, acquisitions and disposal mandates. He also has experience in strategic planning and performance management frameworks.

Prior to Tirna Partners, Simon was CFO at Trylon TSF Inc., a manufacturer and installer of cell phone and transmission towers. He also led KPMG’s Canadian Strategic & Commercial Intelligence practice and worked with Ernst & Young in their Commercial Due Diligence group in London, United Kingdom, and as a finance manager with Electrolux.
Simon is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, a Fellow of the Securities Institute. London, United Kingdom and has a degree in Economics from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom.
Dave Smith

An accomplished international business executive with over 20 years private and public experience in business internationalization, business development, marketing and evangelism. David has served as a corporate director in the US and Europe.
In addition to his Partnership responsibilities at Tirna, David acts as an advisor to a number of multi-national companies and advises government development agencies in their program development and market outreach plans.

David has project managed many high profile events, conferences and trade missions from Presidential Visits to country Pavilion at international trade shows
Prior to moving to Silicon Valley David’s career also focused on international sales and marketing. With IDA Ireland David supported 120 foreign owned companies to establish and grow in Ireland and with Prudential Europe David managed Internal and External communications as well as Market Research. David also co-founded one international services company that stayed in stealth mode! While in Ireland David was an adjunct-lecturer in international marketing.
David has had a varied career in telecoms/wireless, financial services, international services, software, electronics, aerospace and engineering in the private and public sector. David is also the best networked Irishman in Silicon Valley and he is recognized as a LinkedIn / social networking expert.
David and his family moved to Silicon Valley in July 2006. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, David has Masters and Bachelor’s degrees in Business from The Michael Smurfit Business Scholl and University College Dublin. He also holds a post-graduate diploma in Executive Coaching.

Larry is a Partner and co-founder of The FactPoint Group, formerly Internet Research Group, a premier e-Commerce consultancy acquired by Jupiter Research (now Forrester) in 2000. As a FactPoint partner he assists Fortune 500 clients as well as start-ups launch new products and enter new markets. Until mid-2001, he was a Jupiter Research Fellow with the Jupiter Media Metrix's Custom Research Division. He has more than 18 years' experience in marketing and new business development. He spent 8 years with GTE Spacenet in management positions in product marketing and strategic planning. He holds a BS in Accounting from the Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University.
Frank Maw
Frank Maw is the past President of Motorola Canada retiring after 35 years in consumer products and information and telecommunications industries. He is now a consultant to early stage business with Tirna Partners. Frank has a productive background in sales, marketing and strategic planning. He serves as Chairman of BSM Technologies and has been a director on the boards of OptoSecurity, Software Growth, Neotel/Tenth Power and OCR Ltd. Frank was an advisor to The Innovation Synergy Centre of Markham and the MaRS Discovery Centre. He has served on the boards of The Toronto Board of Trade, United Way and YMCA and is a past Chairman of the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) and of the Canadian Telecommunications Association of Canada (CWTA).

Tom Pesut
Tom Pesut has more than 20 years of global leadership experience in the enterprise software and networking fields. He has built scalable business models and has led growth from start-up to over $1 billion in global markets. Tom’s assignments involved acquisitions, turnarounds and divestitures. His career includes success in early phase environments, emerging growth companies and larger corporations.
Beau Peters
Beau Peters has 25 years of global sales and business development success in the landline and wireless telecommunications infrastructure business. After starting his career at ROLM Corporation in 1983, Beau joined Centigram Communications Corporation in 1989 where he drove national sales initiatives with key carrier customers such as Sprint. In 1995, Beau assuemed the role of Senior Vice President of Sales for United Asset Coverage. In addition, Beau served as Area VP of Sales for Jetstream Communications and Pelago Networks before founding his own consulting company, Harvest Resource Group, Inc., in 2002. Beau focuses on assisting foreign telecom-related technology companies with entry into the North American carrier market and has worked with a wide variety of companies from Europe, Asia and the Middle-east in addition to US based clients. Peters has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Kansas, and earned an MBA with an emphasis in finance from Rockhurst University in 1990.
